ROH Stars getting WWE Offers
Quote:
|
– Current Ring of Honor star Davey Richards reportedly claimed that he received a WWE offer like Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuiness. He noted that he turned it down. He also wrote that if he received another offer, he would turn it down again.
|
Now, I know Davey personally. He trained me for a few years. And I can assure you, he will never sign with WWE. He is actually set to retire here soon. He wants to fulfill his real dream of becoming a firefighter.

Good, I don't really want to see him in WWE. He is about as interesting as a cold fridge.

Ring of Honor stars Mark and Jay Briscoe (The Briscoe Brothers) had a tryout with WWE in Philadelphia at the Smackdown/ECW TV tapings reports The Figure Four Weekly Newsletter. It was a non-television tryout and were described as doing a good job. Were told they will be invited back at some point down the line for another look. ROH was fully aware of the tryout.

He is entertaining live, when you can hear how stiff he really is. But the guy is a total dick.

There is no need to be stiff. Pro wrestling is a staged sport. Working stiff is a either an indicator of a bad attitude or something to make up for lack of character. That is why I was surprised when Low Ki got a contract.

Low Ki, surprisingly, isn't stiff at all. He is actually a very good worker. As is Samoa Joe. Davey is stiff because he is a pissed off little man. He doesn't have a gimmick. Thats just how he is.

And APPARENTLY there's this rumor going around that the WWE was looking at Chris Hero? Fake or not, I would love to see Hero go main stream. I dont see enough of that guy and I just adore him. :P

What about Tajiri and Regal?

Don't think they are comparable. Tajiri, maybe, but even he had personality, and Regal has it in buckets. Neither Regal and Tajiri worked stiff for the sake of working stiff, nor did they work stiff every time they got into the ring. I haven't noticed Regal working stiff in a while, since that match with Orton really.
